Wind Stength:
Surf / Sea State: big chop
Air Temperature: 20
Sea Temperature: 17
Weather: cloudy sun
Max Speed: 25.9 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 40.1 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Last day off of the summer and got on teh water at 2:50 nicely powered with 6m but the sea was a bit of a mess. I sailed over to the Spit to see if any waves there but sea was even more of a mess so returned to the Dip. Even though there was a strong current and the large tide dropped I got back OK. Wind increased and sea was quite a big messy chop so I changed board and sail down and sailed for another couple of hours. About 10 on the water, including Colesy on 9m when everyone else was 5.7m or less! I tried the Spit again but sea was still a mess so back to the Dip where riding in down the waves was fun but bouncing out into the short chop and waves was challenging. As the tide dropped some waves appeared and the flat spots moved around. Good 3+ hours sailing as dusk drew in and a great summer evening, pity the sea such a mess so only 4*.
